Or just plain cool...
In the beginning, we called our poetry workshop series, Trash Talk: Recycling Words, because we believed that reconstructing our thoughts into meaningful messages was a healthy exercise. The concept has remained a part of our mission as we revamped and rebranded.
We created a social environment where people could respect each other's personal space and offered them an opportunity to write to a prompt and share their work with participants. Because of the impact of social distancing, we felt this was an important goal. We hope to continue to expand our peace work by strengthening our connection to humanity through story.
